RADIO GA GA

This is a continuation of the Radio Academy post.

After the recording session, there was an air check.
Air check is when the Programme Director listens to the recordings and rate them. Apparently my group won the best group. It was worth the 6 hours of planning for a 15 min recording. That was a bonus for me apart from the amazing experience.

Shame it's only 5 days long.

I would probably have more to talk about if it was still fresh in my mind.

Now let's take a look...

Not much but i managed to shoot at some stuff.

it's all clickety click

the first thing i saw when i stepped into the studio :p

Radio - radio
I'd sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And everything I had to know
I heard it on my radio

4 more days to new year. seems so fast.

i had lotsa fun during christmas. the girls were over at my house for steamboat. initially it was supposed to be just a gathering but we decided to give az an early birthday surprise. glad the gang enjoyed the day. i do not dare take pictures cause the last time i did, it got trashed and i nearly got bashed.

we played taboo as usual but this time we had two new members. apparently my niece and azila's cousin (or something...not sure what the relations are exactly) are best mates. small world.
and a friendly reminder to el - please wear a loose bra if we are gonna have steamboat again.

question.
should i go to fall out boy's concert on the feb 10
yes/no?

i want to just because it's patrick stump.

or maybe i'll go for rod stewart's.

oh and i must try and go to jason mraz concert in march! YES...he is coming again. Whee!!!!

I NEED TO RANT!!!! THAT'S WHY THIS ENTRY WILL BE IN BIG CAPS. ARGHHHHHHH!!!!

AND IT GOES LIKE THIS...
MY OLD NEIGHBOUR INVITED US FOR HER DAUGHTER'S WEDDING AND WHEN WE RECEIVED THE INVITATION, I KINDA FREAKED WHEN I SAW THE NAME OF THE GROOM. SEEMS TOO FAMILIAR BUT I THOUGHT HE COULDN'T BE THE ONLY ONE WITH THAT NAME. I WONDERED ANYWAY IF IT COULD BE HIM AND HOW FUNNY IT WOULD BE.

TODAY WAS THE WEDDING. I WENT. I SAW. I FLIPPED.
IT WAS HIM!
THE GUY I WAS SUPPOSED TO MARRY.

BUT FOR REAL...I WAS LAUGHING MY HEART OUT. TOTAL COINCIDENCE. THE GUY IN QUESTION WAS MY HOCKEY COACH. THE ONE WE GIRLS WERE DROOLING OVER WHEN WE WERE 18. THE ONE WHO MAKES OUR KNEES GO WEAK WITH HIS SMILE. THE ONE WHO NURSED MY FINGER WHEN I INJURED IT. I THINK I SPEAK FOR EVERYONE WHEN I SAY THAT HE IS QUITE A CATCH. PROBABLY BACK THEN...RIGHT GUYS? HE WAS A BIT TOO SHORT FOR AZ'S LIKING THOUGH.

I HAVE TO APOLOGIZE TO THE GIRLS FOR NOT TAKING A SHOT OF HIM. I WAS TOO SHY AND THERE WERE TOO MANY PEOPLE. BUT MOST CERTAINLY, I WAS MORE AFRAID OF HYPERVENTILATING IN FRONT OF HIM. I'M NOT SURE HOW I REACTED WHEN I SAW HIM WALKING TOWARDS THE DAIS BUT HE LOOKED ALL THE SAME... JUST IN A DIFFERENT OUTFIT WHICH HE SEEMED TO CARRY OFF WELL.

HE WAS A GREAT COACH.
HE IS MR SUNIL PRASAD.

(OH...BTW MARY, ISHAK WAS HIS BEST MAN.)

P.S
SERIOUSLY...I HOPE NO ONE ELSE OR RATHER NO ONE WHO KNOWS HIM READ THIS ENTRY. THIS IS THE MOST EMBARRASSING ENTRY I'VE EVER WRITTEN.

BURN AFTER READING.

I wanted to do something new
I wanted to do something spontaneous
I wanted to do something fun
I wanted to do what i love

So i joined the Radio Academy
It's the third day and tmr or today rather is recording day
I tell you..it's a super crash course which only takes 5 days to complete but it's been fun. A new learning experience for me. And i get to make new friends!

For our recording, we were randomly grouped and i ended up with two guys whom i envisioned to be quite easy to work with. We had a short and quick discussion after class just now and i think we kinda clicked. It's pretty nerve wrecking. We have half of the day tmr to come up with ideas and write our scripts. I can't wait, but at the same time butterflies are swarming in my stomach.

Anyways, we had Daniel Ong as our lecturer and for the past three days other DJs have been coming in to give advice and pointers.. The muttons, Jean Danker and Shan Wee all came for a visit.

Here's us...
